摘要: Objective To illustrate and describe an anomaly of right coronary artery (RCA) course. Setting Postmortem examination cardiac tissue. Design patients Three cases where the RCA had intracavitary position in atrium are described. Additionally, light microscopic analysis random sections posterior from 100 consecutive autopsy was undertaken. Main results Each index incidental finding at autopsy. In two cases, RCA, after passing acute angle heart (epicardially), entered posteriorly ran subendocardially for distances 1.5 3.0 cm, respectively. third case, atrial cavity 2.5 cm its origin 2.0 cm. all three exited once again attained epicardial first 1.0 above atrioventricular groove, rather than normal location annulus. The wall showed that medium calibre arterial branches also commonly run subendocardial positions (29 cases) sometimes project into (five 29 cases). Conclusions genesis this is unclear, but may relate to 'higher' course these concert with thinness wall, tendency even arteries assume location. Despite benign outcome described here, authors believe could pose special technical problems during catheterization bypass grafting.
