摘要: Based on a reinterpretation of study 105 relationships between homebound dependent fathers and mothers their adult sons daughters, this article discusses incontinence as social cultural phenomenon. Care work has other people’s bodies its working field. The norms symbols that surround the intimate parts body affect way care is organized, gendered, culturally understood, socially stratified. To lose bodily control capacity to keep disgust related fluids hidden from eyes others, seems put individual’s identity human dignity at risk. disturbing presence odors, sights, textures seem have disruptive effect close relationships. further how dimensions add new burdens modern family life in different contexts, contribute expand gap men women cultures .
