摘要: Many disabled people use electric wheelchairs (EWs) in their daily lives. EWs take a considerable amount of time to charge and are less efficient high-power-demand situations. This paper addresses these two problems using semiactive hybrid energy storage system (SA-HESS) with smart management (SEMS). The SA-HESS contained lithium-ion battery (LIB) supercapacitor (SC) connected DC bus via bidirectional DC–DC converter. first task the proposed SEMS was rapidly fuzzy-logic-controlled charging system. second reduce stress LIB. divided discharging operation into starting-, normal-, medium-, high-power currents. LIB used normal conditions, while SC mostly utilized during medium-power such as starting uphill climbing EW. conjunction employed meet demand for smooth reliable operation. A prototype designed validate methodology, comparison passive (P-HESS) performed under different driving tracks loading conditions. experimental results showed that required effectively power compared P-HESS.
