摘要: A strain tolerant microfilamentary wire capable of carrying superconducting currents is provided comprising a plurality discontinuous filaments formed from high temperature material. The have length at least several orders magnitude greater than the filament diameter and are sufficiently strong while in an amorphous state to withstand compaction. normal metal interposed between binds form matrix withstanding heat treatment for converting state. geometry within provides substantial filament-to-filament overlap, thin allow supercurrent transfer overlapped but also thick provide relief filaments.
