摘要: A fermentation process using Clostridium tyrobutyricum immobilized in a fibrous-bed bioreactor (FBB) was developed for butyric acid production from sugarcane bagasse (SCB) hydrolysate. SCB first treated with dilute and then hydrolyzed cellulases. The hydrolysate containing glucose xylose used as carbon source the without detoxification. bacterium able to grow at specific growth rate of ∼0.06 h(-1) media 15-20% (w/v) serum bottles. In batch cultures FBB, both were simultaneously converted butyrate high yield (0.45-0.54 g/gsugar) productivity (0.48-0.60 g/Lh). final concentration 20.9 g/L obtained fed-batch culture, an overall 0.51 g/Lh 0.48 g/g sugar consumed. This work demonstrated feasibility low-cost feedstock produce acid.
