摘要: OBJECTIVE To compare publication rates of the plenary slide presentations (plenary), concurrent (concurrent), and poster (poster) at Society for Gynecologic Investigation (SGI) meetings interval 1990 to 1999. METHODS The SGI program abstract books years 1990-1999 were examined, with all twice number randomly selected abstracts identified. For each abstract, PUBMED was used search authors subject topics, if needed. Rates in various journals compared: group 1: weekly general (New England Journal Medicine [NEJM], American Medical Association [JAMA], Nature); 2: monthly obstetrics/gynecology (American Obstetrics Gynecology, Gynecology); 3: other (Placenta, Maternal Fetal Medicine, Fertility Sterility, etc). Factors predicting ultimate assessed by multivariable analysis. RESULTS Over 10-year period, 75% plenary, concurrent, 66% published (P = not significant [NS]), majority being 3 journals. Multivariable analysis did find any factor predictive or groups. Sixty-five percent basic science-related this change over time. CONCLUSIONS have an overall rate 68%, which is higher than that reported literature societies (29-45%). Furthermore, different from rate. This suggests types are quality as measured continues publish predominantly science research, one its missions.
