摘要: Abstract Iodinated components of serum were studied in 6 normal subjects and 10 patients with nontoxic goiter. After administration I125, specimens analyzed by column chromatography using anion exchange resin (Dowex 1 × 2) radioactivity was measured 4 fractions: iodoprotein, iodotyrosine, iodothyronine iodide. 2 weeks, about 25 per cent the found iodoprotein fraction 44 that goitrous patients. Butanol-insoluble iodine (BII) determined 36 26 goiter; mean BII total protein-bound group, 45 group. The authors suggest butanol-insoluble is present but much larger amounts Production could be suppressed thyroxin. Administration thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) to doubled production iodothyronine, caused a more irregular response Gel filtration through Sephadex G-100 salting-out potassium phosphate showed from resembles iodoalbumin. Iodoprotein synthesis major pathway metabolism This regulated thyrotropin as it can thyroxin activated TSH.
