摘要: Compared 159 black psychiatric patients with 555 white on a battery of social, personality, and history variables, as well presenting symptoms. In making these comparisons, race differences in age, social class status, sex were controlled. Both depressed remarkably similar symptoms, especially the core symptoms depression, when groups equated or controlled for age differences. However, some did emerge number hostility variables. There was greater tendency toward negativism introjection anger blacks than whites. addition, males indicated that they more likely their counterparts to strike back, either verbally physically, felt rights being violated. also very high incidence suicide threats attempts among males.
