摘要: To better understand the sociopolitical landscape of Portuguese Estremadura during Late Neolithic/Copper Age, interdisciplinary excavations were conducted at Bolores (Torres Vedras), in Sizandro River Valley. Following a test season 1986, University Iowa team four campaigns between 2007 and 2012. is rock-cut tomb used primarily 2800-2600 cal BC for burial adults, adolescents, children (MNI=36). The architectural, material cultural, bioarchaeological evidence suggests that housed remains distinctive group local individuals who marked their difference from other populations through culture architecture. Social differences denoted spatially offerings goods. No social stratification evident, however, would suggest state-level society: there are no wealthy child burials significant health or dietary disparities within this population it others region.
