ABSTRACT Objective. To evaluate the persistence of virus, bacteria, mold, yeast and parasites in liquid pig manure, processed biodigesters manure tanks central-western part Colombia. Materials methods. A directed observational study analyzed descriptively was carried out three farms located where were assembled its used. sampling taken to assess presence 26 pathogens at beginning another one end process biodigesters. For tank, a 250 liters tank filled with fresh after days storage. The continuous flow effluents analyzed, according specific hydraulic retention times. diagnostic techniques those recommended specifically for each microorganism certified labs by Colombian Animal Health authority. Results. Of that investigated, 15 appeared used 12 biodigestors. In tanks, Porcine Circovirus type 2 (PCV2), yeast, Salmonella spp., Balantidium coli Strongylids did not persist. biodigesters, PCV2, Strongylids, B. Strongyloides Conclusions. both variation could be seen pathogen persistency, indicating they act as transformation systems removal latter, long storage times are increased if efficiency wants improved.
