摘要: Several Hebrew manuscripts produced in Lower Andalusia between 1468 and 1482 share the same type of decoration characterised by marked aniconism, absence colour, use micrographic patterns Islamic or Mudejar influence, a clear attempt to recuperate decorative schemes 13th-century Toledan manuscripts. In this study one these manuscripts, Bible known as Abravanel preserved at University Coimbra Portugal, serves starting point for discussion idiosyncrasies programme ‘Andalusian School’, which symbolises Sephardic resistance Christian world (that would eventually dictate expulsion Jews from Seville Cordoba 1483), growing Ashkenazi cabalistic influences Iberian Peninsula.
