摘要: The presence of “structural defects” in a crystalline solid makes it an imperfect material and reduces its theoretical strength by orders magnitude. At the same time, increases defect densities (from ≈106 cm2 to greater than ≈1011 cm2) mechanical working annealed significantly increase material. Large can also favor synthesis materials with metastable structures nonequihbrium phases. Shock-compression loading porous solids be used generate large [1,2] synthesize phases microstructures not obtainable conventional processing techniques [3–6]. However, influence issues, derived from intrinsic physical, chemical, properties, unique effects shock-compression need evaluated obtain precise understanding complex mechanisms processes leading shock materials. In this chapter, relevant issues characteristic features will described.
