Mining information for instance unification

摘要: Instance unification determines whether two instances in an ontology refer to the same object real world. More specifically, this paper addresses instance problem for person names. The approach combines use of citation information (i.e., abstract, initials, titles and co-authorship information) with web mining, order gather additional evidence algorithm. method is evaluated on datasets – one from BT digital library used previous work name disambiguation. results show that mined contributes substantially towards successful handling highly ambiguous cases which lowered performance methods.
