摘要: Toxoplasma gondii has arisen as an important opportunistic agent especially in the central nervous system and advanced HIV disease can cause significant morbidity mortality. This study was carried out to determine seroprevalence of toxoplasmosis among HIV-positive patients Iran. Blood samples were collected from 201 anti-toxoplasma antibodies detected by using conventional ELISA. An antibody titer >3 IU/ml considered positive. The majority studied male (male female ratio: 5 1) with mean age 36 ± 1 yrs. 49.75%. CD4 count positive toxoplasma serology 332.5 22.4 cells/µl. Only 1% had IgM 10% clinical encephalitis. this group 66.4 15.5 cells/µl there a association between rate encephalitis (P<0.001). Previous reports suggested that could be prevented appropriate chemoprophylaxis. In view relatively high prevalence infection found HIV-infected our study, we suggest routine screening for should undertaken all
