摘要: Compressive strain in cabled optical fibers can cause buckling of the and resulting microbending loss. To measure longitudinal compression fibers, a modulated laser beam is directed through first fiber looped back to origin by second fiber. Next, cable stretched until tensile indicated change phase signal. The amount stretching required indicates degree on unstretched cable, hence excess length cable. relatively long lengths portion remain reeled, applied unreeled portion. A correction factor be determined for slippage between sheath reeled
