摘要: We quantified the abundance, species richness and composition of three size classes native woody plants before a decade after mammal eradication in Karori Wildlife Sanctuary. Inventories were made two large plots, one which was located introduced pine forest other an area free from pines. Results used to evaluate changes structure following exclusion. Smaller tree increased abundance through time both plots. After controlling for effect plant abundances on estimates richness, few differences observed between plots or sampling times. However, strong observed. Different suites inhabited each plot. Nevertheless, changed similar ways time. Overall results indicate that exclusion at Sanctuary, 1) seedling markedly, 2) remained largely unchanged, 3) markedly time, but complex successional have occurred Sanctuary since eradication.
