摘要: Cardiac hypertrophy is a major risk factor for heart failure and associated patient morbidity mortality. Research investigating the aberrant molecular processes that occur during cardiac uses primary cardiomyocytes from neonatal rat hearts as standard experimental in vitro system. In addition, some studies make use of H9C2 cardiomyoblast cell line, which has advantage being an animal-free alternative; however, extent to cells can accurately mimic hypertrophic responses myocytes not yet been fully established. To address this limitation, we have directly compared with those following stimulation factors. Primary were cultured treated angiotensin II endothelin-1 promote responses. An increase cellular footprint combined rearrangement cytoskeleton induction foetal genes both types using microscopy real-time rtPCR. showed almost identical observed cardiomyocytes. This finding validates importance model supports current work human cardiomyocyte lines prospective development disease.
