摘要: To determine the effect of exogenous hyaluronic acid (HA) on healing experimental wounds, responses in hamster cheek pouch were measured after a hole was cut through tissue with biopsy punch. Fluorescence-labeled dextran administered intravenously as macromolecular tracer and microcirculation observed vivo fluorescence microscope connected to high-resolution television system. In one group gelatin sponge soaked 1.5 ml 16 mg/dl HA water applied topically at time injury postinjury days 1, 3, 5, 7. The control received aqueous vehicle. Every 2 injury, or histologic specimens harvested. Wound size decreased almost twice fast compared its vehicle (p less than 0.05). Healing defined for total wound closure least microvessel bridging site required more but averaged 9 HA. Early during repair surrounded by widespread extravasation fluorescent tracer, an index inflammation; this area reduced two thirds 4 density perfused microvessels twofold higher However, similar both groups 6 remained 45 which suggests that evoked no unusual angiogenic response. Histologic examination fixed, stained showed increases intravascular leukocytes treatment-related differences distribution 20 40 microns 80 diameter 1 injury. Otherwise, leukocyte infiltration groups. mechanism beneficial action is unknown. several vitro studies suggest part feedback loop promotes cell proliferation migration actively growing tissues. Alternatively, role homeostasis could favor hydration, has well-known healing.
