摘要: Abstract The temperature field in an air layer enclosed between two isothermal vertical plates with different temperatures has been investigated the help of a Zehnder-Mach interferometer. Local heat transfer coefficients were derived from gradients normal to plate surfaces. Below certain Grashof number and above value height thickness ratio. is transferred hot cold boundary by conduction central part layer. Convection contributes only corner regions. For large numbers below limit ratio, layers exist along surfaces enclosure, whereas core uniform horizontal planes. increases, however, direction. Fluctuations flow wave motions observed some experiments. Relations for local average are presented.
