摘要: Regional scale models of groundwater flow and transport often employ domain discretizations with grid blocks larger than typical scales field data. For heterogeneous formations, this difference in is handled by using effective (upscaled) parameters. We investigate the problem upscaling hydraulic conductivity transmissivity from a small measurement to blocks. Transmissivity statistics expressed terms conductivity, expressions for Keff Teff steady state confined aquifers are derived means stochastic averaging perturbation analysis. These reveal that commonly used relation = BKeff, where B aquifer thickness, not generally valid.
