摘要: This study is made in the buffer zone of a newly created national park North-eastern Peru named Cordillera Azul. Here local organizations and Non Governmental Organizations (NGO) are working together with communities to find alternative methods than clear new land by burning forests for mainly agriculture. The contributes their work identifying Wood Forest Products (NWFP) collected people one communities. main focus on plant kingdom situation today products used most people. Animals fish also recorded inventory but not analyzed further. During 6 months survey total number 138 species representing 54 families, 85 animal bird folk 25 species, were farmers participating study. important NWFP survival different kind game fish, further medicinal plants construction material. economically was fibres from palm tree Piassava. income Piassava seems exceed incomes agricultural products. Of forest (from kingdom) most, Piassava, Aphandra natalia Yurachuasca, Arrabidea sp. (a liana mostly make baskets) Tamshi, Heteropsis (roots an epiphyte (liana) traditional houses) seem need some restrictions use today, as they harvested unsustainably according have slow regeneration. Further studies these necessary be able out management plans community. Management could help can see shortage them today. results this provide indication threat that much Azul future research. It obvious parts livelihoods Without its resources would very poor life style take dramatic change.
