摘要: OBJECTIVES The aim was to describe the contact lens characteristics and contrast sensitivity of patients with keratoconus managed conservatively contacts lenses at a tertiary eye center in Singapore. METHODS A prospective cross-sectional study 116 clinically evident or suspected (on videokeratography) recruited over 11 months. Demographic medical details, visual acuity (VA) refraction, corneal topography were documented. Contrast performed Vision Test System 6500 under standardized conditions. RESULTS Overall, 67% wearing lenses. Of 129 eligible eyes analyzed, there 108 21 suspect, 94% fitted rigid gas permeable (RGP) Proprietary design 74.9% 30.0% suspect eyes. With wear, 83.3% 100% achieved 0.3 vision. Mean curves found be within normal, although group consistently lower. CONCLUSIONS Most our lenses, RGP most common type fitted. Good VA can achieved, but may still experience reduction sensitivity.
