Italian Physicians’ Opinions on Rotavirus Vaccine Implementation

摘要: Rotavirus (RV) infection is the main cause of severe acute gastroenteritis (GE) in pediatric population and has a major impact both developing industrialized countries. The reduction RVGE cases, followed by death or hospitalization, considered benefit RV vaccination, even though its implementation often faces obstacles. In Italy, recently approved National Immunization Plan aims to overcome differences among regions, offering universal free vaccination. aim study was evaluate opinions on acceptability vaccination related perception burden disease. Data were collected from 108 physicians 2015 questionnaire consisting 12 questions; some answers compared with those obtained similar tool 2011. majority respondents (76.2%) convinced vaccine 57.4% recommended it routinely, but more than half indicated <25% adherence their patients. As reasons refusal, skepticism about (60.4%) cost (34.1%) indicated. Our data confirm that information counselling are needed increase coverage.
