摘要: The aim of this study was to investigate the incidence anterior disc displacement without reduction (ADDwoR) temporomandibular joint (TMJ) in patients with dentofacial deformity. Eighty-eight female (176 joints) skeletal class III malocclusion and 33 (66 II malocclusion, or open bite asymmetry, were evaluated. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) TMJ used diagnose ADDwoR. A statistical analysis performed examine relationship between ADDwoR structure. present 37 66 joints (56.1%) compared 34 176 (19.3%) (P<0.05). In III, significantly more common mandibular asymmetry (24/74; 32.4%) than (9/62; 14.5%) (1/38; 2.6%). II, less (1/8; 12.5%). only observed on deviated side both asymmetry. prevalence differed according morphology.
