摘要: USING nematological methods of wet sieving and decanting with agricultural soils in Illinois, Gerdemann1,2 extracted two types large one-celled spores which gave endotrophic mycorrhiza the phycornycetous type inoculated plants. The larger these spores, 183–812µ diam., produced arbuscules but not vesicles infected roots. Clusters echinulate were formed on external hyphae1. A smaller spore, 133–288µ induced typical vesicular-arbuscular infections and, addition, hyphae surrounding roots an Endogone sporocarpic stage chlamydospores2. chlamydospores identical those from field soil sporocarps similar to by unnamed mycorrhizal species described Mosse3.
