摘要: The discovery by Fridovitch and coworkers (33) in the late 1960s of an enzyme (superoxide dismutase) specific for catalytic removal superoxide (O2 -) radical has led to intense research on effects naturally occurring free radicals biological systems. Since that time, many endogenous enzymatic reactions have been found potentially damaging intermediate oxidation states produced metabolism oxygen [superoxide -), hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), hydroxyl (∙OH) radicals]. These “active” molecules implicated a variety human disease including cancer aging (17,20,22).
