Physiological and Antioxidant Enzymes Responses of Two Fig Cultivars under Drought Stress

摘要: In order to evaluate the influence of drought stress on two fig cultivars (‘Siah’ and ‘Sabz’), uniform rooted cuttings both were potted in 7 L pots filled with soil mixture. The treatments consisted 4 intervals 4, 8, 12 16 days applied attain osmotic potentials -0.6, -1.15, -1.5 -1.75 bars, respectively. results showed, cultivars, relative water content (RWC), leaf chlorophyll, protein starch concentrations decreased increasing stress. contrast, total soluble solid (TSS) proline contents, also antioxidant enzyme activities increased. However, ‘Siah’ showed better recovery higher activity superoxide dismutase (SOD) catalase (CAT) enzymes than ‘Sabz’, indicating was a more tolerant comparison ‘Sabz’.
