摘要: Glioma is a most common type of primary brain tumors. Extracellular vesicles, in the form exosomes, are known to mediate cell-cell communication by transporting cell-derived proteins and nucleic acids, including various microRNAs (miRNAs). Here we examined cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) from patients with recurrent glioma for levels cancer-related miRNAs, evaluated values prognosis comparing measures CSF-, serum-, exosome-contained miR-21 levels. Samples seventy following surgery were compared those trauma as non-tumor control group. Exosomal CSF found significantly higher than controls; whereas no difference was detected serum-derived exosomal expression. The CSF-derived correlated tumor spinal/ventricle metastasis recurrence anatomical site preference. From additional 198 tissue samples, verified that associated grade diagnosis negatively median patient overall survival time. We further used lentiviral inhibitor suppress expression U251 cells. results showed target genes PTEN, RECK PDCD4 up-regulated at protein Therefore, concluded could be demonstrated promising indicator prognosis, particularly predict or metastasis.
