摘要: Abstract Procedures were described for the study of binding γ-aminobutyric acid (γABA)-1- 14 C, which takes place with various brain preparations but not in similar several other tissues tested. All activity, does require energy and is nonenzymatic, was found sedimentable fractions sucrose homogenates mouse brain, largely “mitochondrial” “microsomal” fractions. The pH optimum to be approximately between 7.3 7.5. γABA by preparation shown Na + -dependent. There a considerable degree specificity structural requirements yABA binding, even minor variations structure give substances less affinity than substance structures. Experiments surface-active materials sulfhydryl reagents led suggestion that capacity associated osmotically sensitive macromolecular elements, among components may proteins reactive groups. Two antihistamines, two phenothiazine derivatives, imipramine desmethylimipramine inhibit binding. Several pharmacologically active tested without effect.
