摘要: Papilio machaon (Linnaeus) (Lepidoptera: Papilionidae) feeds on different plant species of the family Apiaceae. It also rarely Rutaceae such as rue (Ruta chalepensis) and fennel. In current study, α-amylase activity larval midgut was investigated characterised. Also, effect wheat seed extracts explored. Results showed that amylase present in midgut. Gel assays more than one band (three) showing their importance insect feeding. Characterisation this enzyme active a wide range pHs. However, optimal pH for alkaline (pH 8.0). The is highly sensitive to protein extract. These results extract have good potential be explored order purify its products these could used IPM programme combat pest.
