摘要: We present nine diallelic models of genetic conflict in which one allele is imprintable and the other not to examine how genomic imprinting may have evolved. Imprinting presumed be either maternal ( i.e. , maternally derived gene inactivated) or paternal. Females are assumed completely monogamous always bigamous, so that we see any effect multiple paternity. In contrast previous verbal quantitative models, find conflicts need lead paternal growth inhibitors enhancers. Indeed, some our models—those with strict monogamy—the dynamics identical. Multiple paternity necessary for evolution imprinting, has no at all. Nevertheless, favors hinders Hence, degree means more likely paternally imprinted, enhancers so. all stable polymorphism status possible mean fitness can decrease over time. Neither these behaviors been predicted by models.
