摘要: The present study compared the adaptation of cancer pain patients and chronic non-cancer patients. Differences between samples with without metastatic disease were also examined. Cancer reported comparable levels severity to patients; however, due was associated higher perceived disability (t(250)=2.97, P<0.004) lower degree activity (t(286)=2.45, P<0.04). pain, particularly those disease, significantly support solicitous behaviors from significant others, majority patients, both (81%) (84%) as well (85%), could be classified into one three psychosocial subgroups that had been previously identified patients: `dysfunctional' (high interference, affective distress low control activity), `interpersonally distressed' distress, negative responses others support) `adaptive copers' (low interference high activity). distribution profiles different across groups (χ2(4)=12.79, P<0.02). However, within each profile, response patterns highly groups. Thus, contrary suggestions some authors, share many features in common. Furthermore, heterogeneity patient group suggests importance psychological assessment determining management plan.
