摘要: Inflammatory cytokines have been shown to be activated in congestive heart failure (CHF). This activation is likely the result of convergence a number factors, several which could attenuated with use an Angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor. In order assess this, rats had myocardial infarction (MI) created by coronary artery ligation and were followed for 28 days without treatment permit development CHF. At that time, ACE inhibitor quinapril was started, or remained untreated further 56 total 84 days. Half started 3 prior sacrifice, on day 81. Starting at either 81 little effect cardiac hemodynamics, ventricular remodeling. Quinapril did however attenuate MI-induced rise cytokine expression (tumor necrosis factor-α [TNF-α], interleukin-1β, -5 -6). Thus, CHF, inhibitors expression. study helps identify new mechanism may exert their beneficial effects
