摘要: Objective To describe and compare trends in prevalence, sexual behaviour HIV transmission knowledge data related to sexually transmitted infections (STI) patients attending three STI clinics over an 8-year period Escuintla Department, Guatemala. Methods clinic attendees were classified into groups as follows: female sex workers (FSW), men who have with (MSM) ‘high-risk heterosexuals’ (HRH). All samples further diagnosis of active disease. Results From a total 4027 attendees, 3213 (79.78%) FSW, 229 (5.69%) MSM 585 (14.53%) HRH. The proportion HRH had single visit 56.42%, 57.23% 91.10%, respectively. Overall, 2.10% 8.17% 4.12% Prevalence decreased FSW. gonorrhoea did not decrease time neither FSW nor Chlamydia trichomonas showed increase trend. In condom use last intercourse regular occasional clients above 93%. Conclusions show decreasing trend HIV, prevalence. Gonorrhoea time. is hard engage population low follow-up rates high potential act bridge population.
