摘要: Abstract Objective To analyse for the first time response of corticotroph-type and melanotroph-type pituitary proopiomelanocortin (POMC) system with regard to in-vitro fertilisation (IVF) treatment using self-developed highly specific non-cross-reacting radioimmunoassay. Study design Setting: University hospital. Patients: A total 28 patients undergoing IVF oocyte retrieval. Cross sectional exploratory study, one factorial repeated measurements on factor, non-parametric tests. Blood was collected before anaesthesia (tA) (n = 28) immediately after retrieval (tB) (n = 28). Main outcome measure(s): β-endorphin immunoreactive material (IRM), acetyl-N-β-endorphin IRM, β-lipotropin ACTH, cortisol, estradiol, progesterone, prolactin, luteinizing hormone, follicle-stimulating hormone. For determination authentic [β-endorphin (1–31)] a two-site fluid phase immunoprecipitation radioimmunoassay developed, which did not cross-react any derivative or other opioid peptide tested. Results No IRM (1–31) observed in contrast significant increase derivatives. rise prolactin plasma concentration indicates pronounced lactotroph stress. correlation between POMC derivates derivatives gonadotropins sexual steroids except ACTH progesterone estradiol observed. Conclusion stress led responses, but responses women
