摘要: [1] Pressure, temperature, and salinity data collected during the winter of 2011/2012 by an Argo profiling float over Adriatic shelf were used to document dense water formation subsequent bottom density current (BDC) normally occurring along slope. The was advected Jabuka Pit neighboring shallow area (<275 m) after October 2010. parking depth set approximately 150 m, enabling mostly follow firstOnlineseabed between December 2011 July 2012. profiler measured strong spatial-temporal changes in BDC thickness (from a few about 50 m) (between 29.46 29.88 kg/m3). These observations show that has capability observe suggest it would be possible systematically use such floats investigate these processes on coastal shelves.
