摘要: ABSTRACTHost characteristics, including sex, age and size, can influence parasite intensity. Ceroglossus buqueti (Laporte, 1834) its mites were studied to determine the of size sex on abundance, check for any preference a particular region body. One hundred fifty-seven C. individuals (64 males 93 females), captured in summer 2007 Villarrica National Park, Chile, examined. All parasitized by Hexathrombium c.f marittae (Haitlinger, 1994). Male beetles significantly smaller than female beetles, but abundance females was same. Likewise, there no relationship between host body abundance. The distribution analysis showed that H. c.f. preferred attach head, ventral thorax abdomen. We speculate these regions provide more protection space colonize host.
