摘要: Soil salinity is one of the most relevant abiotic factors affecting global crop productivity. It also influences composition secondary metabolites in medicinal plant species. Lippia alba has great economic and industrial potential, which thanks to its essential oils rich bioactive compounds an important South American popular medicine. The objective this work was evaluate effect salt stress on anatomy growth L. plants cultured vitro, as well profile expression genes related their synthesis. To end, nodal segments were MS medium with addition 0, 30, 60, or 90 mM NaCl. After 40 days, growth, oil composition, involved mono- sesquiterpenes biosynthesis assayed. We found that affected primary metabolism alba, impairing development, physiological activities. Alterations included increase linalool a reduction eucalyptol levels under more severe (60 mM). Thus, while high concentrations NaCl may compromise physiology plants, plasticity species moderate allows development without damage sesquiterpenes. Moderate significantly alters percentage grown vitro.
