Observation of self-organized filaments in a dielectric barrier discharge of Ar gas

摘要: Symmetric self-organized discharge filaments have been observed in the rf (500 kHz) dielectric barrier of Ar gas between two parallel quartz plates with a MgO film. The arrangement is confined around center on plate plane. With increasing voltage, number increases, and area filament also increases. does not move if film employed, while whole rotates without According to results current–voltage measurements, Lorentz attractive force much smaller than Coulomb repulsive force. This suggests that confinement potential exists as case two-dimensional systems parabolic potential. However, some arrangements do match those for charged particles systems, which pure profile.
