摘要: Amyloid oligomers and protofibrils increase cell membrane permeability, eventually leading to death. Here, we demonstrate that amyloid oligomer toxicity permeabilization can be reversed using the sealant copolymer poloxamer 188. The data indicate is caused by defects in lipid bilayer of type are sealed Our results also suggest possibility polymer-based sealants prevent or reverse vivo. Because ability permeabilize membranes a generic property oligomers, this therapeutic approach may effective for treatment many degenerative diseases part interaction misfolded proteins with membranes, as Alzheimer's disease, II diabetes, host others.
