摘要: A rapid and sensitive electroanalytical method has been developed for measuring free chlorine in water by using a wax-impregnated carbon electrode. This can differentiate chlorine- the sum of OCI HOCI- from other combined species. Sodium dichloroisocyanurate, an active compound widely used swimming pool disinfection, was chosen as model system. The illustrates that when sodium dichloroisocyanurate is dissolved it only partially dissociated into chlorine, even at very low concentration. When isocyanuric acid added to solution containing concentration latter drops because formation chlorinated acids salts. equilibrium states both dissociation reactions are rapidly achieved.
