摘要: Intravascular ultrasound has been used for >20 years to guide percutaneous coronary intervention in different subsets of lesions. During the last decade, interest chronic total occlusion (CTO) increased dramatically, leading high success rates. Failure guidewire crossing is most common reason failed CTO attempts. Certain angiographic features, such as blunt proximal cap, tortuosity, heavy calcification, and lack visibility path distal vessel, increase procedural difficulty. A better understanding behavior within segment may represent a key issue achieve successful outcome.
