摘要: Negative-pressure pulmonary edema is a rare but life-threatening complication of upper airway obstruction. Because negative-pressure may occur in large spectrum pathologies associated with obstruction, awareness this condition crucial during daily clinical practice. We report case anesthetic recovery to highlight condition. Case: A 2-year-old boy was scheduled for orchidopexy under general anesthesia. Shortly after an uneventful operation, the patient presented Serious oxygen desaturation and bradycardia ensued, inefficient attempts at positive-pressure ventilation. After emergency intubation, copious pink secretions emerged from airway. Pulmonary confirmed by examination, pulse oximetry, chest radiography. The finding resolved within 24 hours mechanical ventilation positive end-expiratory pressure. child suffered no sequelae. This highlights features serves as reminder pediatrician who must be able recognize initiate treatment conditions that are uncommon life-threatening.
