摘要: Nonferrous needles of pure brass, titanium, or copper, and ferrous different alloys stainless steel were analyzed for the size, area, distribution image artifact created when placed in a 0.6-T magnet. Results demonstrated that prototype needle (type 316) would be visible on magnetic resonance images provide an similar to seen computed tomographic-guided biopsies. Further testing this included assessment effect changes made annealing properties, gauge, length, needle-tip geometry, pulse sequence, orientation relative field. To date, three human liver biopsies have been successfully safely performed using type 316 needle.
