Epidemiology of carcinoid tumours in central Italy

摘要: Between 1985 and 1991, 83 carcinoid tumours were diagnosed in the province of Florence where Tuscany Tumour Registry is active. There 44 males 39 females. The age-adjusted incidence was 0.65 cases/100,000 population/year. most common location lung (30.1%), followed by colorectum (25.2%) small intestine (22.8%). 5-year observed relative survival rates 70.8% 78.9% respectively. risk developing multiple primary cancers 0.79 (CI 95% 0.28-8.33).
