摘要: Background: Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is reported to be common among refugees. We set out explore risk of Trauma- and Stressor-Related Disorders the associated burden psychological distress in a refugee camp Malian Refugees Burkina Faso. Methods: One five persons living was selected randomly interviewed using French version Short Screening Scale for PTSD validated K6 scale measure psychiatric morbidity. Results: Around 60% sample (N=408) met criteria also severe mental on scores. Women aged 40 over were found at higher whereas young people (39 or younger) scored ratings. 83% surveyed subjects had family member killed war, 91% relative more than 80% suffering from physical injuries, 90% problems with food housing. The frequency these life events not surprisingly Disorders, death being specifically related them. Conclusion: These results point important population that often ignored by media international political authorities. Immediate steps are required provide urgent legal humanitarian protection those who forced flee their homes cross borders because disasters.
