摘要: Tracheal perforation can be difficult to manage when standard approaches are not feasible. We present a case report of 2-year-old child who sustained traumatic laceration the intrathoracic trachea in face tracheitis and bronchitis. Accepted management techniques could employed because developed mediastinitis respiratory distress syndrome. The use extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) facilitated ventilation modes failed. ECMO also provided compliant low-pressure environment that allowed primary tracheal repair by wrapping tear with pedicle intercostal muscle. A brief overview disruption is presented.
