摘要: Maize (Zea mays L.) is an important cereal and fodder crop cultivated across the world (White Johnson, 2003). It belongs to tribe Maydeae of family Poaceae. plants are faced with numerous biotic stresses adverse environmental conditions. Turcicum or Northern corn leaf blight (NCLB) a serious foliar disease maize in many tropical temperate environments .It severe caused by fungus resulting into yield losses worldwide most effectively controlled resistant varieties. The development lesions on surfaces which hampered photosynthetic processes thus decreases. This experiment was carried out order identify reaction developed hybrids turcicum pathogen under field conditions randomised block design three replications. Scoring infected leaves were based nine broad categories designated numerals 1 9 (Chung et al., 2010 Mitiku 2014). After scoring PDI arcsin transformed analysis done. Among thirty selected 3 found resistant, 10 as moderately susceptible 17 resistant.
