摘要: Moderate and severe envenomations by the snake Bothrops asper provoke systemic alterations, such as bleeding, coagulopathy, hypovolemia, hemodynamic instability shock, acute renal failure. Systemic hemorrhage is a typical finding of these envenomations, primarily caused action P-III venom metalloproteinases (SVMPs). This also contains thrombin-like serine proteinase prothrombin-activating SVMP, both which cause defibrin(ogen)ation. Thrombocytopenia, predominantly induced C-type lectin-like protein, platelet hypoaggregation, two defibrin(ogen)ating enzymes, contribute to hemostatic disturbances, potentiate bleeding hemorrhagic SVMPs. Cardiovascular disturbances leading shock are due combined effects toxins, other components that increase vascular permeability, hypotensive agents in endogenous mediators, potential cardiotoxic effect some toxins. Renal alterations likely be direct cytotoxicity kidney, ischemia resultant from hypovolemia hypoperfusion. Lethality B. consequence several among SVMPs especially relevant.
