摘要: Background Oxidative stress as a potential cause of poor oocyte quality can influence female’s reproductive system. This study aimed to investigate the effects melatonin on chemical pregnancy rates significant number polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) patients undergoing intrauterine insemination (IUI). Materials and Methods In this double-blinded randomized clinical trial (RCT) study, samples included 198 PCOS fulfilling inclusion criteria IUI treatment. On third day menstruation, 3-mg tablet or its placebo was given according protocol; prescription continued until human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) administration. The current attempted primarily scrutinize effect administration rate mature follicles during treatment cycle, secondarily determine endometrial thickness (ET) IUI. Results mean age participants in 28.9 ± 5.5 years. group receiving about 32%, when it 18% control (P=0.012). Furthermore, concluded that addition cycle individuals could significantly improve ET after (P < 0.001). Conclusion results demonstrated with mela- tonin improves (Registration number: IRCT2017021132489N1).
